Module 1: Core Concepts

Core Concepts
Drawing on the central symbol of the the Tree of Life, Z’ev ben Shimon Halevi describes Kabbalistic understanding of existence itself: emerging from the Absolute, across four great worlds, and ultimately returns to its source. He illustrates how the same universal structure underlying the cosmos is also the blueprint of the human being, from the physical body, psyche, and soul all the way to the divine spark within.
The Tree of Life as a Universal Map
In this clip, Halevi explains how the Tree can be used to chart everything from the seven levels of biological evolution to the layers of human psychology: body, ego, self, soul, and spirit. He shares his own process of discovery, how to apply the principles to real-world structures like Parliament and basic psychology,
Four Worlds
Halevi uses the creative process, the days of Genesis, and the figure of Adam to illustrate how each level of reality operates and why human beings, uniquely, have access to all four.
When the four worlds are stacked together, they form what Kabbalah calls Jacob’s Ladder: the Great Tree that unites the cosmic and the personal in one continuous structure. The macrocosm of the universe (emanation, creation, formation, and action) finds its mirror in the microcosm of every human being (the divine spark, spirit, psyche, and body).
